Joe, we should have a spot on best picks for the new millennium. These, of course, are for a longer hold than just short term. My picks:

EDIS - Earth Search Sciences; just acquired a satellite, have awesome contacts, and brand new technology and application. My estimate for price range in year 2000 is anywhere from $5 to $15.
Latest news release : biz.yahoo.com
Home page : earthsearch.com

Second Pick is:
NYRR - New York Regional Rail; own a monopoly in NYC area with railroad, working with Norfolk Southern; also have a sideline trucking concern which was generating $94k per month when they bought it in January; now bringing in $500K per month. NYRR has just filed the financials
to become reporting company:
biz.yahoo.com
Home page = nyrr.com

Final Pick =
ABHH - American Banknote Holograph. This company was on the Trading on the New York Stock Exchange, then got into trouble for filing bad financials. Stock dropped from the $19 range, was delisted, and several of the head officers left the company. Stock dropped to around $1. However, the old pres. came back to run it, cut a lot of expenses, is preparing finanicals and getting ready to list on NASDAQ. MoneyCentral points out that Company is a producer of security holograms which should be really big in upcoming years; its products are used by about 125 customers in more than 25 countries. Ninety-five percent of its holograms are used in security applications -- providing counterfeiting protection for credit cards, ID cards, and documents, as well as making consumer and industrial products tamper-resistant. The remainder are used in packaging and promotional applications. American Bank Note Holographics' customers include MasterCard (about 45% of sales), Visa (nearly 25%), IBM, and agencies of the US and Chinese governments. All this stock has to do is to go back to where it was trading before to realize a huge gain.

I believe that both NYRR and ABHH were hit by tax loss selling during past 30 days, and will come roaring out of the gate after mid-January.
