visionthing> 5 brokerage houses are currently covering Rambus--price targets range from $90-$125.

So if the future is so GREAT, why is that number so small?

Don

visionthing > 5 brokerage houses are currently covering Rambus

What is your ref for this number and who are the five listed?

-------------------------------------------

Yahoo's site biz.yahoo.com

shows the Covering Brokers following Rambus

Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Co.
Robertson Stephens,
S G Cowen Securities Corp.
Warburg Dillon Reed
Moors and Cabot Dakin, ???????

Cnet shows this??

cnetinvestor.com

Hoovers site hoovers.com

Original Underwriters
Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated;
Robertson, Stephens & Company
Hambrecht & Quist;

BTW... What happen to H & Q Coverage for Rambus???

I found this at Yahoo/Zachs

biz.yahoo.com

Hambrecht & Quist issued a Daily Notes Report on July 14, 1999 for Rambus Inc..
On July 14, 1999 Hambrecht & Quist analyst David Wehner issued a 3 page Company Report on Rambus Inc. Report highlights: 'The 1999 EPS estimate was lowered to $0.23 from $0.28 to reflect conservative pricing. The 2000 EPS estimate was increased to $1.13 from $0.70 to reflect favorable Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) potential. The rating was upgraded to BUY based on upward DRAM pricing trends. The company reported 2Q99 EPS of $0.08 versus $0.05 in the year-ago period.'

-----------------------------------------

So my point is, in more than two years since it's IPO and hundreds of news releases, Rambus has apparently not impressed too many brokerage houses, whose job it is to find buyers for the stock.

To put it simply..

It's not about Supply, it all about Demand.

regards

Don
