I looked up the price myself. It's $219.00 for the Win95/98 upgrade to W2k. 219 - 2-19. <Numerology mode on> 2='B' - 19='S'. "219" = "BS"

Anyway, what would you rather do, buy (read: rent) Windows 2000 upgrade for $219 or buy (read: own) a Palm Pilot for about the same money? Careful twister, this is a no brainer.

I think uprgades will occur slowly at first. But in the coming year there will be more and more apps that will run poorly on old configurations. Multimedia websites. Streaming technologies for broadband. I still have a p 100 with win 95. I recently got a dsl connectionand have only just begun to explore the options and have already run into one site, the excite@home broadband site that I had trouble with.
