Chris, I know most of the time that everyone wants to know exactly every verses interpretation by another.(sometimes just so they can start pounding with that granite bible thingy.) There is doctrine in the Word. The doctrine that has power in MY life is the Christ. Jesus says: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Did he ever encourage anyone to forsake the Sabbath? Is he not our example for keeping the Sabbath? I never said He did not observe the Sabbath, Chris. As a Jew, certainly he would observe the Sabbath. AND He is our example. He also would have sacrificed according to the law during His life here, why don't we? Have we only been partially delivered, OR called to a higher calling? And I have not told anyone to NOT observe their Sabbath. My belief is not to just say that the orig. dusk Friday to dusk Sat. Sabbath became my Lord's day Sunday proper. I think something bigger happened at the cross. Chris , I Do assemble with the saints on Sunday (day proper) since you asked, and I also do NOT prescribe to the saying that a couple of hours on Sunday is good enough. I can NEVER be good enough, I can never give enough time, I can never work my way into that Grace of God. If indeed our bodies have become the Temple of the Living God(1 Cor 3:16, 1 Cor 6:19, 2Cor 6:16, Eph. 2:21-22,)(enough scriptures to be the Truth IMO, ) then to say I should worship God any less than 24/7 would have to be a lie. Remember that God is Spirit and those who worship Him must do so in Spirit and truth. Dan do you regularly attend a church? Chris, In ALL truthfulness.... how can that be? I am the church made up along with the believers...how can I regularly attend a church? If by that that you are asking if I regularly meet and/or assemble with the saints...yes I do... Sunday and other days also. If you do what does your preacher tell you about observing the Sabbath and honoring the Lords house? I worry not so much about what a preacher will tell me about honoring the Lord's house as I do what God says about it. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. Chris, I "honor" no building as they are just conveniences of man. BUT to make sure you do not misunderstand me, I DO meet with the saints. Sometimes in a big building, sometimes in a small one, sometimes not in a building at all. As far as substance of our assembly, I have stated this before, and feel no shame in doing so again. We do meet for prayer(both public and private), we do meet for instruction in the Word, we do meet for laying by in store(giving), we do meet for song both for and in praise of Father/Son/Holy Spirit, and also for encouragement for one another, we do meet and remember the Lord in/with communion until He comes again , and we do meet to be all help and encouragement to the Saints that we are called to be in love. Chris, I know that this post does not say "Here is my Sabbath pinpointed and here is exactly what I have to do(or don't do) on that very day. Why? BVs original intent with me was to show me a sinner because I have used 'waitresses" on Sunday proper. But you know what Chris? I TOLD him I was a sinner.....duhhhh..... I also proved that it is a lot harder than he could imagine to "legally" keep a Sabbath.......and he proves it. God bless dan
