Amazing that on a day when the NAZ made a massive upmove to new records, the number of new NAZ lows was only modestly below new highs. And new lows continued to swamp new highs by a huge margin on the NYSE.

When do expect this event to occur? I thought for sure there would be a run to the exists before Y2K (everyone thinking that it is better to be safe than sorry, even though they expect nothing to happen). But given the current behaviour, I suspect that the sell-off may be well into 2000. I do expect that this will end poorly, and would not be surprise if there is violence.

The current administation hopes they can delay the impending mushroom cloud until after the elections but they are just helping it grow bigger. I agree that the result will be worse than anyone predicted and will usher in a new era in America, one of massive reform in the financial arena. All the sins of recent times will be analysed and prevented by new laws. People will receive fairer wages and more holidays and work civilised hours, just like in Europe. But first they must behold the fires of purgatory and understand the errors in logic that have built the bonfires of their vanities.
