OTTAWA, ON, Dec., 21 /CNW/ - Cognos Incorporated (Nasdaq: COGN; Toronto:
CSN) today announced results for its third fiscal quarter ended November 30,
1999. Revenue for the quarter set a new record at $97.8 million, a 28 percent
increase (31 percent in local currency) over the same period last year.
Pretax income was $19.2 million, compared to pretax income of $19.3 million in
the third quarter of last year. Net income was $13.9 million and 32 cents per
share, compared to $15.9 million and 36 cents per share, respectively, for the
same period last year.
