Del, correct me if I am wrong, but it sounds like you are saying...Bush and or the media is wrong for denigrating atheists, so it's right if I denigrate christians.

Sounds like you are saying two wrongs equate to a right.??

Why not simply acknowledge it is wrong to denigrate atheists and wrong to denigrate christians?

Michael

Del, forgive me if I am being a bit dim here. I don't see the point in aggressive atheism, as I don't see the point in aggressive religiosity. We live our lives and we find meaning in symbols. As I posted earlier, I participate with joy in the holy times of people of other faiths and, as I think I have posted, my family is studded with many different faiths and with agnostics and atheists. Yet we look to share and rejoice, regardless of the "excuse." Why is this a problem for you?

I, personally, would never "bash" an atheist. I believe that there is only one God, the Prime Mover of the Universe, but I don't have the ability to explain how God differs from the laws of physics. I suspect that when you go out at night and look at the stars, you feel the same things I feel, but you give it a different name.

Pat Buchanan is not President, Del. Not yet, at least. (Thank God! ;-)
