(NasdaqNM:DPMI - news) said on Tuesday it expected its second-quarter earnings to fall below forecasts, defying signs of a strong rebound in orders in an otherwise red-hot sector. The company, which specializes in making equipment used to print circuit designs on silicon chips, said in a statement it forecast its second-quarter earnings to be in the range of 19 cents to 24 cents per share. A year ago, DuPont Photomasks reported earnings of 20 cents a share in the comparable period. First Call/Thomson Financial, which tracks analysts' forecasts, listed its second-quarter consensus estimate for the company at 44 cents per share.

Now that all the desperate BS is out of the way - as I said "here comes Santa Claus.....here comes Santa Claus....right down CYMER Lane. The only thing that becomes certain about CYMI's sharp rise to $200 per share is that all the short interest will (a) have to cover or; (b) get taken out horizontal and (c) continue to spew irrelevencies while gnashing their teeth considerably.
