well, maybe it'll still do something as sympathy play.. after all.. that's exactly what cbs marketwatch said..

and besides.. this thread has played TONS of sympathy plays that had nothing going for them other than some competitor's stock going nuts..

i think we all get that you dont like this one.. and since we can't do anything about it.. let's not get the thread to a state of panic over it.. if you've gone short.. that's cool.. if not.. then that's fine too..

but let's not take away from the fact that GEEK was at $61 not too long ago and technically has created a very nice breakout today for future runs should the company get some good news out..

if JWEB, NZRO, TALK all run higher tomorrow.. no reason that GEEK can't too based on momentum... this simply becomes a very short term play now rather than a mid to long term hold..

here's hoping tomorrow brings good things for us all..

jim

ps.. as for being "careful".. a little late now.. market is closed.. wish someone would have denied the rumors BEFORE it closed.. us little fish are always the ones who get fried first.. that's okay... I'm a honey glazed salmon

Mogul, I could not agree with you more. GEEK was a momo play, plain and simple. These are real dangerous times. They can be real good to some and real bad to others. I prefer to stick with quality and let the momos go by unless I get them while the volume is rising but the price hasn't budged (ie. PWCC yesterday). Then, the downside is limited. But you never know when the buying will stop. Yeah, I saw GEEK today at 12.5, but it was already up 4. I could have made a bundle, but it could have gone down to 8. TALK on the other hand is quality and I went in significantly. The news it had today, not rumored news, was very powerful. Its CEO is the former CEO of NSOL. And once he had the opportunity to exhibit his company to the general public via CNBC, it was off to the races. This one can run for awhile too. Unless one believes that they are an unbelievable trader and can time the lows and highs perfectly, people should be careful to separate quality from garbage and have the discipline to let momos run away.

Respectfully, do you really think that GEEK traded over 16 million shares with a 3 million share float because it has nothing???? 16 million shares traded on nothing but rumors???? IMHO there was some smart money that knows what the future holds doing some buying today.
