Interface Systems Software Selected By BCE Emergis To Support e-route EBP Implementations
L2i(TM) Software Will Provide Valuable Functionality for Billers Using Canada's First Fully Integrated Internet Billing System
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Interface Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: INTF - news) today announced that it has been selected by BCE Emergis to provide its legacy-to-Internet (L2i(TM)) software component to Emergis' EBP Billing Service for e-route, Canada's first fully integrated electronic bill presentment system. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The agreement calls for BCE Emergis to license Interface's eBill Bridge(TM) software as part of its EBP Billing Service, an end-to-end outsource solution that provides easy implementation of billers into the e- route service, and ongoing electronic billing services that eliminate the need for billers to manage and operate some or all of their billing processes.

The e-route solution links billers, banks and customers through an integrated system to facilitate the delivery and payment of bills via the Internet. The system is designed to eliminate the high costs and other inefficiencies associated with paper-based billing processes.

Robert Nero, president and CEO of Interface, said the agreement further validates the strength of Interface's L2i technology that enables companies to access information stored in legacy systems and make it available on the Internet.

''We are pleased to have been selected as part of one of the largest and most comprehensive e-billing initiatives in North America,'' Nero said. ''We are looking forward to supporting BCE Emergis and their partners in their efforts to provide consumers and businesses throughout Canada with a user- friendly, cost-effective alternative to conventional billing methods.''

''The addition of eBill Bridge to our EBP Billing Service has strengthened the service we can provide e-route billers,'' said Dave Wilkin, VP Professional Services, BCE Emergis. The L2i technology, combined with our robust custom tool set and professional operations and facilities management services, make it possible for billers to present bills electronically with little or no required changes to their information technology or procedures.''

A pilot project of the e-route service has been underway since September. Rollout is scheduled for the first half of 2000, with more than 40 billers already signed to participate.

I went long again the stock again after taking it already this year to a 9 bagger....I don't see no fat ladies around here...and supply dwindles. And FWIW...Emergis don't lack COIN. Backed up by Bell Canada...and most importantly THEY NEED IT. OR do you spect they get it now from CKFR as part of co-opitition? NOT IN A MILLION YEARS IMO.
