Mike, I only know what I read! But, the website is full of product descriptions. Visit www.tellabs.com and do a site search using "6100" or DWDM for starters, and then visit the various pages which describe the product line. I've been long longer than I can remember (my Dad bought TLAB back in the 80's!). There are others on this string who really know what all of it means.

Mike, Brien is right about the Tellabs' website. There is a huge amount of information there about various products. It's not light reading; takes work & persistence to keep up.
