But no, I wasn't reading it that way. I just now understand why it isn't considered a break of a Quad Top. Did I seem to imply that I thought that it was something that I thought should be purchased now?

Absolutely. Markets have a tendency to avoid going straight up or straight down, much to the chagrin of the Long term investor but much to the delight of the Day trader.
