I just now understand why it isn't considered a break of a Quad Top. Did I seem to imply that I thought that it was something that I thought should be purchased now? <sell signal (one) in a confirmed up trend may be the start of a shakeout which is a bullish pattern> Absolutely. Markets have a tendency to avoid going straight up or straight down, much to the chagrin of the Long term investor but much to the delight of the Day trader.
