Greenspan did nothing, and didnt change the bias. He doesn't want there to be any chance he'll be blamed when the bubble collapses. So he's going to let the economy destroy itself instead of taking the needed action.

bobby beara: if you can't stand the heat, don't build the kitchen Not a good analogy! It is like building a pool. You scrub it regularly and try to have a good clean place for you and your guest. However, after a while you realize the pool does not have a filter system and that you and the quest are steadily finding themselves integrated by sludge from neighboring septic tanks. After awhile you realize you are fighting a loosing battle trying to keep the pool clean. Especially since the regular quest who love to hang out in the pool, almost never offer to help clean the pool. You stop wasting your time, exit the pool and decide the next one (if there is a next one) will have a filter system. Regards, LG
