Oh, the trials and tribulations of parenting! The hair, the tattoos, the earrings, the shopping in awful places.... I think you'll enjoy this: My dear friend was telling me about last weekend's dust-up with his eldest son. His 16-year-old came home on Saturday with a pierced ear. He heard himself saying everything his own father said to him years ago: "When you are out and on your own.... While you are living under my roof...." I nearly choked, I was laughing so hard, especially when he started with "First it's an ear, then it's tattoos, then a stud in the tongue, and the other three are going to follow suit...." Thank God, they do continue to grow up!
