I'm in ISP shell Lynx for this reply so I can't easily see your pics... --- I'm not saying ESR has nothing relevent to say. Obviously he does and has put into words concepts that many of us have learned or are learning. ESR himself is more learning than learned. And that's really a nice place to be. --- What gripes me is the way he and others shoot so 'from the hip' with regard to matters of economics. --- Altough thrust onto the scene with anxious microphones asking him for sound bites about new business models, ESR merely has some vague notion of disruptive technology that highlights a naivity that detracts from otherwise valuable insight (IMO). --- He's not the only one. --- Two years ago geeks were blasting the 'suits'. Nowadays geeks are pretending to BE suits. --- I think the hot tip is to look for the most symbiotic relationships between geeks and suits where they're sharing a common equity interest and invest in *that enterprise. -JCJ
