Paul... the final four in ESPNs' top 100 athletes of the century are Jim Brown(who doesn't belong in the top 4, imho)Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth, and Ali. Although ESPN has not yet announced the order in which they will be ranked, I see Brown 4, Jordan 3, Ruth 2, and Ali 1. I'll keep ya posted. El

Dear Paul: For well over a year a number of us on this thread have been chanting, to a lot of deaf ears, "Compaq is _not_ just a box maker." "Compaq, the box maker"--its enough to make the hair on the back of one's neck bristle.

Perceptions do not change over night, especially for those people who, despite neither holding shares of CPQ nor following its news releases, seem to know all about CPQ. Many so-called analysts fall into the trap of being blinded by the PC component of CPQ such that they compare CPQ to GTW or DELL. They help perpetrate the, " Only a box maker" myth.

2000 is the year this will change.

Thank you for the kind words, Paul.

Best regards,

Lynn
