Not quite. The Junglee's, etc, are almost always majority owned by Kleiner Perkins or another VC company that happens to control the board of the larger public company that aquires them. Do you know how much money Kleiner Perkins made when they voted to purchase Junglee? Were you aware that Kleiner made a majority cash investment in Junglee less than 1 month before they voted on Amazon's board to buy them out for an insane price?

If it weren't for the New Era, these guys would be in jail for that sort of kickback profiteering. But as long as the stocks go up, there's nothing that isn't acceptable.
