To put it in perspective, the $118 million in payments (which excludes royalties) is approximately $6.50 per share. That's a hefty sum for a stock that was trading at between 3 and 4 for most of the year. This highlights the kind of ridiculous valuations the market has assigned small-cap biotech stocks.
