NEW YORK, Dec 22 (Reuters) - The Federal Reserve said it added $8.995 billion to the banking system via Wednesday's 36-day fixed-system repurchase agreements for tri-party settlement.

The collateral breakdown was as follows:
- $5.515 billion in Treasuries, 5.51 percent stop out;
- $2.480 billion in agencies, 5.66 percent stop out;
- $1.000 billion in mortgages, 5.69 percent stop out.>>
