Can you please tell me how far it is from the Pizza party to the possible pick up point of Suzanne? If this was not random, then I would be checking out all attendants at that Party plus all workers. Trinity Lutheran Church, the site of the Pizza party for the Best Buddies program, is on 292 Orange St, which would be about five blocks (driving) away from Phelps Gate. On this map, the black dot for "New Haven" is actually Phelps Gate: yp.infospace.com It is interesting to note that Suzanne theoretically could have been walking back there, but I can't think of a likely scenario for doing so. Recall the party had ended around 8:30pm, and Suzanne then drove a co-worker home in a Yale-owned car she had borrowed, returned the car, stopped in at her apartment, walked across campus to return the keys, and then headed out Phelps Gate to parts unknown. I doubt anyone would have been left at the church nor would have planned to meet her there. However, it is possible that she made plans with someone at the party to see them later that night. I presume mentally retarded people can still get drivers licenses(?) If so, perhaps she had to meet them in a place familiar to them which could explain where she was walking to. Perhaps she even needed directions to get there. Lastly, you could argue that the lack of a struggle meant Suzanne might have thought she could reason with the person rather than run or fight. It's not likely, IMO, but certainly possible. If this was not random, then I would be checking out all attendants at that Party plus all workers. I haven't been able to find a single person who was at that party... yet. You are certainly correct in saying everyone should be questioned! As for your last question about the first wound, no, that's never been talked about by the police. - Jeff
