showing 1200 as the high This is a famous trick for manipulating day traders. Many of those folks have a screen full or two of 1 minute (or faster) charts open and they are tracking momentum. A trade (even though it will get cancelled later) that is way too big or way too small causes the scale on the charts to change so all of the important movement just shows as a horizontal line. It can blind the other traders for a few minutes until they re-scale their charts and that lets somebody make a play. TP
