We are not to be hypocrites however with the very common " Pretended Unity" that most any sensible person can see through. True unity comes through "purity" of belief and practice. That only happens by God graciously allowing us to understand what the true doctrines are and escaping the corruption of the flesh. satan seek to disunite the brethren and has been practicing for centuries. The devil quoted scripture to Jesus but misused it as he always does. Jesus being the Son of God knows exactly how to defeat every false way and turned the Word against the devil by "knowing" the true meaning and intent of God's Word. ( this may invite a few cheap shots :-} Our PERFECT example of spiritual warfare showed that the word is to be handled in certain ways. If by God's grace a man receives the Spirit of Truth then he must also "study to show himself approved and Rightly divide the Word Once men see a unity of belief they can also see the unity of the spirit. It is through Truth that men Love one another and without truth it is just a cheap act in the flesh that fade the first time trouble appears. If you desire to see men Love one another then I believe we must do our best to present the truth as God intends it to be seen and used. That is where I am coming from. Eph4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. We cannot "agree to disagree" with falsehood. That is not love but is evil and dishonest. It is a "Pretended Unity" and hypocrisy.
