May I humbly suggest a different tack?

Restrict your shorts to companies with fundamental problems -- like positive earnings and negative operating cash flows. As over-valued (IMO) as CSCO and QCOM are, they are fundamentally powerful companies.

Even if I'm right it is impossible to predict when the bubble will burst. I would simply exit the market and wait for valuations to reflect fundamentals.

out of curiousity where did you short qqq at?

not saying things will always go up....but i learned in no uncertain terms about thirty years ago from marty zweig not to fight the tape.....or the trend is your friend
