You told him "I would sincerely appreciate it if you would refrain from insulting the faith of those (perhaps only myself) who find joy and sacred meaning at this time of year."- since that IS what Del does a lot of the time I think that is close to telling him to shut up. Maybe you don't see it that way. I did not say that you said to Del you have no respect for his position- but other posts you have written lead me to believe that your belief system is at odds with an atheistic belief system. And further, that you don't think much of atheists or agnostics- perhaps, again, it is just the way I read your posts. I've allowed for the possibility. Gleefully point to exasperation? Why the word gleefully? It's your word choices like that that lead me to think all the things I do about you. Unfortunate, perhaps, but there we are. Not a good word choice if you want to convince me we agree on things- as you stated previously. Del wasn't addressing you- he always has things to say about Christians- he doesn't like Christianity- he's going to say it all the time. He DOES insult it- because he thinks it's stupid. That has always come across in his posts (I hope I have been interpreting YOU correctly Del). Like Terrence he thinks religion is delusional. That is- per se- insulting (imo). If I distorted what you think you said I'm sorry- I feel I am distorted constantly so I am sympathetic.
