As to the first, yes, that is a possible response, and in some circumstances it would be warranted. Even that would involve hope that a successful defense could be mounted. However, in many instances, out and out trust would be appropriate...... Things like the "word-pictures" of God are metaphorical. The rest claims to record actual history. Even if one believes that the history is not "pure", either it is an act of revelation, or not. Without deciding, it makes sense to entertain the possibility that God has reached out to us in this manner.......

(From the last thread I posted to) RE: Shape-shifting: Still using the original version. Really surprised. Thought a phase out was to be completed last Sunday with the shutting down of the servers. Oh, and that uh, question....Sometimes I'm a little too curious for my own good. Sorry about that. I do pretty well on my own with stocks (of course who couldn't make money in this market), but I'm always on the lookout for a few new ideas (which of course has nothing to do with "the question" or the gist of it) Not into the touchy-feely, but have a favorable opinion towards you. Hope that will be sufficient in place of a "pucker". :-)
