What are you smoking ? Cisco spent 13.1% of 1999 net sales revenue on R&D and that increased by $568M over 1998. As for a comparison with IBM, I remember when IBM tried to enter the router market. That did'nt last too long. I also remember when Nortel, nee Bay tried the same. That won't last long either. I see a parallel between NT and IBM but at least NT has functional optical transmission gear. I remember when IBM tried that as well. Happy Holidays- I added you to my IGNORE list.
