<understanding is that we can still only get tick vol > Really? Well I may be mis-informed. Check FILE|NEW|TIME AND SALES on your QCharts. Set it for the ES contract. Now do it again for the spoo. Then hit TIME&SALES|FILTER and change Volume to 10 on the ES T&S. See how it continues to show 10 lots and higher? Now do the same on the Spoo. It stops running trades. Even try setting the spoo filter to 2 contracts. Nothing goes by. Now look at the time on the ES Contracts. If that is ticks then the Mini is more than 5 times as liquid as the spoo and according to TASC......last time I looked....it isn't. Of course, if I'm looking at ticks after all, the flaw in my logic could be that the spoo is trading ten, 50, 100 lots while the mini is trading 1 and 2 lots. I dunno, I'm not convinced. I think I am persuaded to believe that the Mini is showing Volume and the spoo is not. <(trin, tick, upvol, dnvol)> Never thought about that, I wonder if there is a way to design a program to extract that data real time. I wish I had the time to look at that, but I cannot. Where do you attach that squawk, to a speaker off the machine? Perhaps I'll try it. Thanks for the link. As far as monotonous goes, I know exactly what you mean....CNBC drives me nuts with monotonous banter. But when I have it on it just drifts into background noise. I notice I pick up on it when I hear something that may be important to me. Perhaps the same mental filter may be developed with squawk. I'll give it some thought. I'll e-mail the dude and get some info on it. I'm a bit of a Luddite, though. It may take awhile to actually pursue it.
