Actually the 1970s gambling stock mania was the height of rationality compared to this internet insanity. Gambling casinos were proven huge moneymakers and enormous profits were virtually guaranteed once governments allowed them to open. But the moneymaking potential of the internet exists mainly in the fantasy of greed-crazed, starry-eyed investors.
