A lot of companies already spent big money upgrading all the systems before Y2k. Plus huge amount of money were spent in testing, emergency, etc. If Y2k is a non-event, the burget will go back to normal, which I think would be lower than this year.

Mike,

>>CNBS treats Y2K as a non event nonetheless if it does prove to be non event they will be screaming for a relief rally for an event which did not concern them in the first place. In addition, they will talk of a rebound in tech spending - all the pent up demand due to Y2K lockdowns.<<

An hour of CNBS forces me to rethink my views on censorship. (g)

Mike:

I don't know who dreamed up that "pent-up demand" hoax, but he/she is remarkably creative. (g)

Somebody had better have a magic wand to wave over all that inventory out there to make it disappear.

Best, Earlie
