Chuck,

Here is link to ZDNET - PC Magazine review on 800MHZ Coppermine and Athlon systems -

zdnet.com

It's very interesting to see how they avoid putting a genuine effort in order to give an edge to Coppermine whenever there is an opportunity. I guess they will continue to do it (like the other hardware site) as long as their lack of integrity is not too obvious to casual readers - until Athlon pulls comfortable lead after the existing bottlenecks (cache, Memory System, chipsets, etc.,) are taken care off one by one.

Partcularly interesting ZDNET compromise was with the ZDWINBENCH 2000 where Coppermine 800 is given a RED score (just to make it not to look too bad) despite the fact that it barely beats Athlon 750(52.3 vs 52.2) and just because they were not able to complete the tests on the Athlon 800! Another interesting point is with the prices. They just choose to put "Not shipping" with the Athlon800 system instead of taking effort in finding out any estimated price on the system.
