NEON Delivers SAP Online Store for ARP Datacon NEON Implements B2C and B2B SAP e-Fulfillment For Leading Computer Retailer DENVER, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- New Era of Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEON - news) today announced that it has successfully implemented SAP Online Store, an Internet-based business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) application, for ARP Datacon AG, a leading computer retailer in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. NEON's SAP R/3 consultants implemented SAP Online Store to enable ARP Datacon to sell and service products, and to make purchases via the Web.
NEON re-engineered ARP Datacon's business processes and realigned them to meet requirements for performing e-Business transactions. The comprehensive project entailed customizing, installing and configuring SAP's Web-based Online Store, and integrating it with ARP Datacon's internal systems and external trading partners and retail customers.
''The SAP R/3 project -- and in particular NEON's integration of the SAP Online Store -- is very important for ARP Datacon. This solution enables our fast expansion into new markets by optimizing our business processes,'' said Bernhard Stocker, marketing manager for ARP Datacon. ''The special attention we have given to integrating our customers and suppliers with the new, Internet technology enables us to automate our business processes and provide better overall service.''
With this successful deployment of the SAP Online Store, NEON's SAP consulting group becomes the preferred partner for SAP e-Business solutions, which leverage and combine more than 25 years of SAP leadership in building powerful, industry-specific software with the speed of the Internet.
''NEON is committed to being a valuable retail partner with the worldwide SAP Organization,'' said Robert Vetter, head of business unit retail and consumer products for SAP Switzerland. ''Due to NEON's proactive and efficient approach to integrating the retail market with the Internet, I highly recommend NEON's SAP consulting group as a preferred partner to SAP and prospective SAP retail customers.''
The newly inaugurated system also processes credit card settlements with direct online authorization. NEON's SAP consultants integrated all data from the Internet -- orders, product availability and payments -- into the central SAP system, reducing administrative costs, data redundancy and the probability of errors.
''NEON understands the importance of conducting business via the Internet and the underlying business processes that are critical to e-Business success,'' said Dr. Franz Koepper, senior vice president of NEON's European Commercial group. ''We continue to demonstrate our expertise with e-Business and SAP with customers such as ARP Datacon.''
