Ericsson already elimanated themselves....I never thought they brought anything to the table. Next up might be Samsung since they are currently using Q's ASIC's and have a good phone line-up anyway.

Though maybe locking up your biggest customer could be a good idea....

The waiting is driving me nuts <g>.....

<worst case scenario in terms of selling the handset division to the wrong company>

Your guess is as good as anybody's. If the Street doesn't like the deal QCOM will absolutely tank. 50 points- more?
But... Have faith in the good Dr. J. He sees the promise land.

Is there a 'wrong' company? I believe that they already said that they weren't interested. : )

But a little serious, I think it will have more to do with price, and chip sales than anything. Mostly chip sales. But, what do I know?

Q rocks, missed Woodstock, hope no one missed 486...

Worst case scenario, the handset division gets bought out by Sunbeam, and Irwin announces his desire to retire and go live in an adobe hut to better get in touch with himself.
