trebor re<<<<I see ICGE is not on your B2B list -- any interest in this one? Received two new buy ratings today; splits 2 for 1 next Tuesday. It's been all over the place today from $172 to $212, back to $193. Like you, I also took a stake in TEFQX. So far so good.>>>>

The incubators like ICGE are obviously hot and CMGI is able to get recognition as a B2B so that's flying also along with SAF which I think Allan the King and/or others mentioned when they were far cheaper.

For myself I know the sector could blow up temporarily anytime. I'm worried about what happens when we get into Jan and some of these nouveau very rich rush to diversify. I suspect most of these guys have a lot of tech profits this year even outside their new companies so it makes sense they may do some major profit taking in early 2000. Anyway I decided to go with a few leaders that I thought should maintain top positions thus I invested in ARBA and CMRC as well as a bit of CMDX which is less clear. I never added to my tiny afermarket investment in FMKT since I think CMRC and ARBA want a part of the auction market and CMRC already grabbed GM as a big coup and GM was one of FMKT's biggest auction customers. While I didn't see the release I think one of the reasons CMRC was up 70 today was I heard they completed a successful auction for Schlumberger which if correct makes me again not want to chase FMKT further at the moment. The fact is B2B is still in its infancy and I suspect money will be rotating into it more and more As Bob has said it is hard to know where this is all going but a fund like TEFQX should have a lot better shot at IPO's as well as having good management which is why it may show up in the newsletter shortly. It is amazing the only problem in investing in this sector so far has been studying a stock too long and have it run away from you by the time you're ready to invest. I'm fortunate I got into ARBA, CMRC, and CMDX at what seemed like very high prices at the time but seem like great entry points at the moment. I'll maintain my positions and let them do what they may and am not looking for this to build into a huge percentage of my portfolio with further significant investments but if they build by continued price appreciation I definitely won't complain.
