MM,

Allowed my portfolio management to color my judgement, I guess. I'm trying to keep a certain amount of cash around, so I sold some Feb. 15s. My thinking was that the MCI/Sprint contract might not be announced for a while. It might be announced shortly after the distraction of the merger recedes. PAIR didn't seem to move for a couple of hours on the new coverage, so I was beginning to wonder.

Anyhow, with my cost basis at 14, this morning, writing calls at 2 is somewhat better than 20% for three months, not counting the tweak caused by margin. Such performance is well within my targets. And I might be able to trade the calls a couple of times before they expire.

So a good question is when do MCI/Sprint pay attention to business instead of romance? When they do, they'll announce and PAIR will take off. My feeling is it'll be a few more weeks now -- management probably didn't know in September that this would happen, and I don't blame them -- and that PAIR will not hold much above 15 1/2 until more good news shows up.

What's your feeling?

Cheers, Tuck
