Phil,

Another option is a little of both. Diversification doesn't hurt unless you're a Peter Lynch devotee. Then it becomes Di-Worse-ification.

Ian.

You can buy MO if you wish, but I
prefer to stick with MTSN, SVGI and AMAT.

Reference "Old Economy Stocks" & diversification:

Although I'm basically a believer in the theory that diversification is to cover for lack of knowledge, I recently picked up a much larger position in DD than I'm holding in MTSN. Let's not forget that all that growth in the economy is for real in the end and that some of that translates all the way down to demand for raw materials, as well as everything in between. I'm there in that chain folks, and I can tell you with a fair degree of certainty that things are slowly but surely turning around on a global basis, and the some of those stocks are way undervalued from that point. Also, per diversification, they provide balance to the high tech stock the world, which is not, do to some folks opinions these days, the only thing that makes up our economy.

Best Regards,
John Stewart
