Yeah, one would think treasuries in that particular scenario. On the other hand, the big run-up started in mid-October, which is when I would have thought that people would start to feel nervous about OUR markets. Yet I've seen no evidence that people really intend to pull money out of our market at year's end. I've seen a few posts on SI among day-trader types of being all in cash, but the market doesn't reflect that as being widespread. So my thought is that perhaps people in other countries perceive our markets as safer. I guess we'll find out soon enough. Just idle speculation, really.
