Maffei effect will last only 30 minutes; open -2 Close flat Maffei was a great CFO but, he is human like all of us. He got tired of same of job and wanted something more challenging. He is already rich so it has nothing to do with money. I expect that Microsoft will open 1 to 2 points lower due to some selling pressure but, I expect it to be over within the first 30 minutes of trading. Microsoft will then recover to finish unchanged for the day. It is a great buying opportunity. Nothing fundamentally has changed at Msft. Earnings will be great. Settlement will be annonced. Windows 2000 will be released. Microsoft has very deep talent. Remember with Maffei going to Canada he will open the doors for big investment by Msft into the future of TV through fiber optics cable. This is really great news if you think of it. Good Luck.
