I think the most telling statement in this article is:

"I'm surprised stocks didn't react at an earlier date because at this 11th hour there's not a whole lot you can do," security consultant Tom Preston said in an interview with CBS.MarketWatch.com.

This is so true... we all knew this kind of last minute reaction was going to happen in respect to Y2K, but I am surprised that it is actually carrying over into the markets at this late stage in the game. It really lends credibility to the argument that this market is completely irrational. Right now you could give 'em a sound bite about cheese production being higher and fly paper stocks go up.

It's crazy and everybody knows it... it's going to be damn ugly when the euphoria wears off.

Someone on TJ's old thread emailed it to them, I think VVID shareholders will vote no on merger on Jan. 19/ PKI is down to 38 now with conversion being 6.2 VVID shares for every PKI share. As I value it would like Your opinion on this matter as I picked up some VVID at 2 7/8 Today. BTW CNBC featured Miami International Airport in their piece Tonight. Tia William.
