Sorry Greg, don't know where it will be tomorrow, much less 3 months from now. I played this stock based on the Linux news. Don't know much about computers. I do know that there is a strong possibilty that MSFT will be broken up. Linux OS is seen as a welcomed replacement to Windows. DELL, with others, is offering clients the choice of operating systems.

Don't know much about Corel's history. But it seems to be well positioned to offer the new Linux OS. Thereby, it may have a strong growth potential.

RHAT market cap. =...$15,771,137,000
LNUX market cap. =....$7,860,996,000
ANDN market cap. =......$742,500,000
CORL market cap. =......$845,000,000

At today's price, Corel is trading at a fraction of other Linux related stocks.

A major difference in Corel's value, IMHO, is the Canadian media. In my view Canadian business reporters enjoy trashing their own. They view every company trying to make inroads in the U.S. with skepticism. Any of you remember the trashing BIDS received immediately following its NASDAQ listing. It was lambasted here at home and was never given a chance to prove itself. Now compare BIDS to Freemarket.com, which in many ways is a similar to BIDS. And the same is being done with Corel.

Greg:

My bet would be <$5 US. Those of us who have owned CORL for over 3 years, watched the company & CEO, & participated on this discussion board have learned not to trust Cowpland as far as you can throw him. Many of you have flamed Rod Macpherson lately, but he knows the real Corel.

Corel warns of fourth-quarter loss
Shares tumble, abruptly halting recent run-up...
Cowpland could not be reached for comment for this story. A company spokeswoman said he is on vacation. Corel wouldn't make available other executives for an interview.

This is so f***ing typical for this company!

I got rid of half my stake in CORL 2 weeks ago & dumped the other half today on the earnings warning (about a 50% gain in 3 years). Buyer beware on this stock!

Good luck.
