Actually Dr J strongly hinted that NOK was in the negotiations right up to the wire. I wondered if NOK would need the division, but 'engineer' put forward a very convincing argument regarding the RF talent the division has - which is crucial if NOK are to succeed in CDMA.

NOK dropped out when QCOM wouldn't release this talent.

With big thinking like that, I would bet that Nokia misses the first two years of China roll out....
