And as someone else suggested here, the next great tactical maneuver will be to acquire
someone who will help puch cdma and gsm on the same chip. They will take Europe that
way, after they have now created a US and Asian stronghold.


QCOM are chasing Comquest. However - don't assume that acquisition gives QCOM an automatic entre to GSM. The reason Comquest is for sale is that they couldn't get their GSM chip to market. The GSM software protocol is much more complicated than the AMPS/IS-95 stack.
QCOM has many strengths but stack development isn't one of them.
