Opinion re the DBA/Altigen Press Release

Before I comment about DBA's recent press release, I suggest you go back to the item 1 of this 500+ list of observations about DBA. That first item dated October 1998 talks about the Smartalk NG and an agreement with Ericsson. If you look back through any source of DBA news and press releases you'll find a long list of similar claims with the Who's Who's of their industry. I also believe that a DBA promoter or marketing representative claimed that they had a deal with Altigen last year. I'm not sure if this release is a new deal or if it has just taken 12 months to close the first one. Either way it's probably not important.

What is important is that is the lack of indication that DBA has been able to sustain these important relationships. This is also evident in their financial performance for several years and by the need to restructure last year. Another year has passed and even with new money, DBA seems to be failing financially and some of the investors have had to invest again. Some of these may now have a lot more shares than they really wanted.

Could the recent seeming insignificant press release and the recent seemingly unexplainable rise in share price all be part of a promotion that will allow some of these folks to reduce their positions?

Any comments?
