I found it harder to watch what I was doing as the pain went away and I regained use of my arm. I would become engrossed in my work and forget that I had to be careful of what I was doing. The problem with my injury is that I usually wouldn't feel any pain until hours after I had lifted something, or twisted in a manner that would cause me trouble. Today I'm just very careful about how I lift heavy loads, and I can no longer carry a mail satchel on my shoulder.

It sounds like your appointment was pretty successful, jp. True, no definitive answer, but the options do point to potential for permanent relief. It seems the brightest shortest day of the year in 133 years was pretty good, indeed. All the best.
