Actually, Pele and Ben Hogan are both on the list. However, I don't like lists like this because it is impossible to compare athletes of different generations....let alone different sports.

OT: Here's a link to the ESPN page "100 top North American athletes of the century". Pele is not included for geographical reasons. The list is sorted by rank, alphabetically, and by sport. Where's cyclist Greg LeMond?

I think Carl Lewis should have been ranked higher than 12th.

This is also the list used for the TV profiles of the top fifty.

Brian Finnery on ABC @8:05am .. Brian was just on and stated he felt that Compaq was one of the overlooked buys, with a target of $40. Brian had mention that Compaq owns 17 % of AV and when that is IPO'ed that should add at least $5 to CPQ. Positive comment by Robert Morg? on Bloomberg also mentioned Compaq as on a strong comeback and undervalued, a should have stock.
