I think the Maffei resignation is a non-event (isn't everything?). He's going to work for a fiber-optic co., so it's not like he's resigning because he thinks there is trouble with accounting. If I had to pick, I'd guess the market will welcome in his replacement by giving MSFT stock a gain for tomorrow. Also, perhaps many bubbleonians will welcome his departure from MSFT -- after all, some of these folks are still probably harboring a grudge for Maffei making people sell tech stocks that one day a few months ago.

They're now talking about four rate hikes. He should stop with the baby hikes and go the 1/2 point route.
