Excellent, Elepet. . . that is the best thing I have heard you do yet. . . with your particular situation. Thanks for the list. . . I tend to prefer Fidelity funds. . . they have low entries, low subsequent minimums, low expense ratios, the best advisors, large funding and a great history. . . .I have recommended many Fidelity funds to family members over the years.

Which reminds me of a story. . . when I worked for Viewtron in the early 80's. . .down in Miami. . the retired guys from NYC would stop in at our mall displays. . .during their walk. . . and ask about their favorite stocks. . . they didn't want to stop walking. . .but they would shout out their big holding and hope that one of the reps would throw them back a quote. . . .well. . .I remember having a long talk with one really nice ol' guy. . . I doubt he is still around. . .but he said to me, "do whatever you can to invest in the Fidelity Magellen fund". . . .take a second job. . .sell something of value. . .borrow from friends or family. . . whatever you have got to do to get invested heavily. . . .you really need to do it right now. Being in my mid 20's at the time, I figured there would be plenty of time to get into investments. . .but I "needed" every nickle I had at the time. . . . and it seems like I did . . .I already had 5 jobs [literally]. . .but living in South Florida was expensive. . . .needless to say, I forgot his great advice and just lived from month to month as ambitious guys in their 20s tend to do.

Well. . . for those that don't know. . . .the Fidelity Magellen fund over the 15 years between 1983 until 1998 outperformed every other known investment. . . and has become the bellweather of the mutual fund industry.

Moral of the story. . . . start investing at a young age. . .and when an older wiser person takes an interest in you . . . and passes advice for your own good. . . . HEED IT!
