Usually the power usage is on the back of the unit or in the owner's manual. My 17" monitor is rated at 90 watts.

I know what you mean about the occasional flicker.... we get a lot of those here in NH. Sometimes, I don't even notice that the lights blink, but those UPS's sense a glitch and go to battery. They're very sensative.

You're in a little different situation than me because I collect and store data on my machine as I do not use QCharts so the 30 min battery time gives me a chance to get the generator going. I hate it when my charts have holes in them :)
