Media Metrix (NASDAQ: MMXI), the leader and pioneer in Internet and Digital Media measurement worldwide, today announced that the number of visitors from home and work to E-Commerce sites increased 37 percent since last year (Week ending 12/19/99 vs. 12/20/98). The number of unique visitors also increased substantially--33 percent--since Thanksgiving week, the holiday shopping season kick-off. Traffic decreased by 6 percent compared to the previous week (week ending 12/12/99), as the number of days for shipping gifts in time for Christmas decreased.

Interestingly, the number of average daily unique visitors to both UPS.com and Fedex.com increased 57 and 94 percent, respectively, this week over an average of the last three weeks, as holiday shoppers were tracking their packages online. The Flowers/Gifts/Greetings category, up nearly 10 percent from the previous week, continued its weekly gains as Christmas approached. Two of the top E-Commerce Gainers include greeting card sites Americangreetings.com and Egreetings.com, as well as toy sites, Familywonder.com and Smarterkids.com. Enews.com, a magazine subscription site, was the top gainer this week.

Greg,

GREAT to see Dell finally really breaking out. No resistance left except all time high. BTW, did you notice that Dell was number 1 in positive money flow yesterday?
