Ratan: Don't worry about correctly timing the market, I don't think anybody is capable of doing that. You can make up for it when the desi-brigade hits the market starting from Q1 2000. The first ones to hit the market will most likely be Rediff and eCredit and the rest will follow.

Verma has worked with the Baan Company, where he forged enterprise-wide strategic alliances. In addition, he worked at McKinsey & Company, primarily in the areas of growth strategies and organizational effectiveness, and at Digital Equipment Corporation. Verma has a B.A. of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, an M.S. in computer science from the University of Minnesota, and an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Mahantesh Kothiwale, vice president, Technology, has played a vital role in the growth of eCredit.com through his participation in the design and development of the company's unique technology platform and his work on strategic projects. Kothiwale holds a B.E degree in Computer Science from Mysore University in India.

Jai Dev Dasgupta, vice president, Professional Services, is responsible for all professional services, including implementation. He has a background in mathematical modeling and computer simulation of complex biological processes. Previously, Dasgupta was a professor at the Harvard Medical School, where he conducted independent research in cancer and immunology. He has a Ph.D. in Mathematical Biology and a Master's degree in Physics.

eCredit.com has closed a $24 million round of financing led by J.P. Morgan Capital Corp., with investments from ABN-AMRO Capital, Chase Equity Holdings, Inc, Citicorp, Financial TechnologyVentures, Mellon, SAP America, Inc., Trident Capital and Vortex Ventures, as well as existing investors Battery Ventures, Bain Capital and Draper International.
