Ok folks. I bought awre back from 40-31, but have not had the time to do D&D. Where does awre stand ? I assume this DSL pull back is due to lack of interest at this time? Any info is appreciated.

Scrapps I'm not surprised. DSL is COVD's bread and butter. They want to do what is necessary to get it deployed. They WILL make it happen. This is where competition is at its best. For BEL its just another service. Inspite of BEL's announcements of fairness, I doubt it. These guys are just too big and arrogant. DSL for them (telcos) is a disruptive technology. Unfortuately for me I was informed that I am 3.5 miles from the CO and therefore not eligible for DSL until they make a link closer to my home. I had been promised NOV.'99 till their latest discovery. Cable advertises availability but when I call they say not till mid year '00. Last year it was January '00. Do you wonder why I don't trust or believe what I hear. A WSTL modem and DSL service would have been a great Christmas present for me this year, but it ain't going to happen. I just have to move to where it is being deployed. Usually those areas are pretty nice anyway so I'll have a double incentive. San Diego, Silcon Valley -- I can dream, can't I. It takes so long to download files, I sit and twirl by thumbs so bored I'm dreaming, Gosh, Oh gee! How happy I would be if only sound and vision would be streaming.
